Edwin is the beating heart of the band, bringing worldly grooves and exceptional musicality. This intuitive bassist adds sensual elements to the music and works also as a songwriter, instrument designer, and journalist. He has played with Vitesse, Gare du Nord, Kaz Lux, Lange Frans & Baas B, the Julian Sas Band, and Roel and the Gang. His shop, Bass Connection in Blaricum, has quietly become one of the most respected destinations for bass players worldwide — for over 30 years.
Guido is a versatile guitarist with a distinctive voice, ranging from mellow to screaming blues. His playing draws from a wide stylistic range, from Hendrix to Benson by way of Stevie Ray Vaughan, and he switches to acoustic guitar when the music calls for it. An electronics engineer and sound freak, he modifies his own equipment, and the same ear shapes his playing. Alongside extensive session work on CD productions and theatre shows including The Wiz, Macbeth, and Grease, he is active as a producer, sound engineer, and composer/arranger.
Bill is the connecting force — passionate, dynamic, and groovy. A finalist at the Laren Jazz Podium with the P.O. Kwartet, he has played with Julia Loko in Cheyenne and with the Jimmy Belmartin Band, and worked in the studio with American Gypsy, Viola Wills, and Diesel. He was part of Hot Issue, the Nova Showband, Hotleggs, and Hour of Power, plays in several bands today, and runs his own drum school.
Born in Detroit, Joe played saxophone, clarinet, and flute in various US bands and toured with Cuban star Wilfredo Chirino. After emigrating to the Netherlands and studying at the Hilversum Conservatory, he performed with the Midland Big Band and accompanied Ramses Shaffy, Laura Fygi, and the Alessi Brothers (with whom he played a live DVD recording).
He now plays exclusively the electronic Akai EWI, commanding a wide range of sounds from classic horns to synthesizer textures.
Joe arranges and composes for radio, TV, and theater — including original music for Robert Paul’s one-man musicals and arrangements for Lee Towers and jazz trombonist Bart van Lier. His love of music shines through in his fluid, lyrical playing.
